Program Philosophy

Our philosophy is to create and maintain a suitable environment for children aged 12 months to 12 years in a Daycare setting. We will strive hard to provide a safe and caring environment which will encourage the normal growth and development of each child.

Self-esteem can be enhanced through support and direction in such areas as emotional, social, physical, intellectual and creative development. Appropriate age activities will be provided in various activity Centre's in each room.

Our program is geared towards all aspects of growth and development of the child individually and as parts of the group. Appropriate interest based plays are used and applied to daily activities and weekly planning.

We encourage our children to provide input into their own program through discussion.  Play to Learn Philosophy is evident in our Centre and is achieved through stable and interesting, safe - secured setting all the time.

We provide the best quality care possible for our children by providing “Affectionate Care and Understanding” in all endeavors. Our Daycare is an extension of their home.

Emelia’s Child Development Centre Staffs are in constant communication with Parents and Management in making sure that our strong programming is met and attained.

Child Safety-First Aid

  • All permanent child care staff maintain an up-to-date Child Care First Aide & CPR certificate.

  • First Aid supplies are kept in each room.  In addition, a fully equipped First Aid Kit is kept in the Director’s office.

A First Aid Kit & emergency contact cards for each of the children is taken on all outings, field trips, walks to and from school and playtime in the park.
